What are booking credits?

Booking credits dictate the maximum number of bookings a user can have per space type within a specific period of time (day/week/month).

Booking credits aim to reduce wasted bookings, encourage users to make reservations only when necessary and discourages speculative or last-minute cancellations.

How many credits will I have to make a booking with?

Admin users will set the number of credits available for each space type within a building so this will be dependant on the space type you wish to book and the building you wish to book it it.

For example, building A may have an allocation of 3 parking credits per user and building B may not require credits to book at all.

How will I know how many credits I have to book with?

When you are visiting the building page in the booking flow the credit policy applied to the building and the space type selected, will display in the building details section.

I have reached my credit limit, how can I make more bookings?

To make more bookings you have a number of options:

  • Try to book at another building where you still have remaining credits or credits are not required

  • Try booking at the building closer to the booking date, there may be a free booking window set where credits are not required at all (check with one of your admins if this is the case as it may depend on the space type and building)

  • Cancel an existing booking well in advance to get a credit returned. If the cancellation is too late, you won’t get your credit returned.

  • Wait it out, credits will renew for future bookings after set period by your admin. Check the building page in the booking flow to find out when this is, or if your company uses the Kadence Slack or Teams integrations ask our chatbot.

Is my assigned desk counted in my credit limit?

No, bookings with credits can be made ontop of your assigned desk bookings.

Are guest bookings included in my credit limit?

No, guest bookings can be made in addition to your credit limit.

Are bookings made on behalf of a user counted as part of my booking credit limit?

No, when you book on behalf of another Kadence user, the booking credit will be taken from their allocation not yours.

I cancelled my booking, will I get my credit back?

Booking cancellations well in advance of the booking start time will refund your booking credit.

If your booking gets auto-cancelled due to something out of your control like a building closure, you will receive your credits back. However, if your booking gets auto-released and therefore auto-cancelled because you did not check in, the credits will remain deducted from your account.

Equally, if you make a cancellation within the ‘free booking’ window set by your admin user, then credits will not be returned.
