What's the difference between the new space types?
Pods behave a lot like desks but have an informational capacity attached. A user cannot invite other users to a pod.
Lockers behave like desks, but are used as a secure storage compartment where individuals can store personal belongings, equipment, or valuables safely. You may wish to display lockers as a different icon on your floorplan for clarity.
Parking allows your users to book similarly to desks, and replaces basic parking which only allowed users to book from a quantity pool of available spaces.
Will I need updated floor plans?
Yes, if you would like to avail of the new spaces, you’ll likely want to have a floorplan to match. Reach out to floorplans@kadence.co or your CSM for assistance.
I was using desk booking in lieu of parking, can I keep my booking data and make those desks into parking spaces?
Yes, you will first need to pull a booking CSV file for the time period you want to retain booking data for and reach out to floorplans@kadence.co or your CSM to update your spaces.
Can I use the basic parking and the new advanced car parking together?
No, you should use one or the other as they do not function in tandem.
Will my starred colleagues be notified if I book a pod/locker/parking spot?
No, your starred colleagues will only be notified for desk and onsite bookings as normal.
Will my Kadence be updated when I book a pod/locker/parking spot?
Your Kadence will only be updated when you book a desk, room, onsite, or a pod.
Can I now add rooms to neighborhoods?
Yes, rooms can now be added to neighborhoods the same as all of our space types (besides onsite).
